The Moose cabin is a great little home with a big feel and huge views of the lake and mountains. We just remodeled it with pretty blue
pine characteristic of the beetle-kill pine trees you
hear about and see in the area. It’s a nice look and
adds a warm cozy feel to the rooms.
(and it feels good to use a “green” building material
that supports the local economy, too!)
Sitting on the front deck or at the fire pit in front of
the Moose cabin, you get a panoramic view of Shadow
Mountain Lake, Shadow Mountain, and a sweeping
vista of Rocky Mountain National Park.
In the morning you can watch the sun rise over Shadow Mountain, gazing through the large picture window while you sip a cup of coffee and recline on the famous “coma couch” in the front room.
In the “Club House,” the kids can sack out with Mr. Bear on the rustic bunk beds.
They’ll sleep snug as a bug in a rug under the glow-in-the-dark stars.
The master bedroom is in the loft at the top of the spiral stairs. The A-frame feel of this room gives is a cozy atmosphere for snuggling.
